Kids for Peace Day

The museum is gearing up for its annual Kids for Peace celebration, honoring the United Nations International Day of Peace (September 21). The day begins with performances outside the museum and culminates in a vibrant community parade around Capitol Square. The group takes its name from the Atimevu drum of the Ewe people of Ghana. The word “atimevu’ means drum made from a tree.
